Daily Food - 5/12
Breakfast: Steel cut oats and dried apricots with a little brown sugar and some juice.
Lunch: AGAIN I forgot to take a picture. It was just a PBJ on Flax and Fiber bread (so yummy) and a yogurt (I actually ate it today) and some pretzels. Also had a couple cups of hot tea at work today.
Snack: Hot dogs at home. Still need to come up with better snacks for when I get home from work. I need something filling. (I eat lunch at 10 so when I get home at 3 I am ready for dinner, but I have to wait for Dave, so I need a substantial snack). Suggestions? Please comment.
Dinner: Grilled Pork chops, white rice, and zucchini. This dinner was so very delicious. Nice smoky flavor on the meat. Zucchini had that nice juiciness which was complimented by the Adobo and olive oil. mmmm.
The good: Dinner for the most part. It's easy to do au naturel when we are grilling. Breakfast was ok too.
The Bad: Less carbs (rice) at dinner. Need a better back up than hot dogs and PBJ for lunch and snack.

Hello, a new follower of your blog :) have you tried hummus and pita bread for snacking? its super easy to make and you can sanck on it with pita, or fresh veggies. we also do a lot of cheese snacks around here for some extra protein :)
ReplyDeletemmmm hummus. The problem with hummus is the store bought kind is totally ruined for me since I learned to make it myself. And last time I made it myself, I burned up my blender. lol. I do have a big birthday coming up, and a food processor is on my wish list.
